Physical Mediumship

Sarah’s Physical Mediumship Adventure May 3, 2023

I tried, for the first time, physical mediumship. Danielle Searancke, Spiritual Medium and Mentor, Podcaster (@squamishmedium), owner of the Spirit School based in Squamish, BC, Canada. She invited her cohort and friend Winter Brook, a psychic medium https://www.winterbrookmedium.com, to teach Physical Mediumship and lead a group of us in a Seance. Our group met on Zoom because we all live in different locations. We each prepared individually beforehand with our red lights and darkened rooms. We prepare through meditations, prayers, candlelight, sacred scents, and individual ways that we as mediums use in our unique rituals to connect with Spirit. The energy was magnified, electrified, and expanded as we settled into the zooming space for our Seance and Physical Mediumship Demonstrations.

Four of us volunteered to sit as physical mediums, including our Mentor, Danielle. All three of us were new students exploring physical mediumship. Danielle had tried this before as the most senior in her mediumship development, but not her usual practice. Physical mediumship is becoming more popular after 100 years of being mostly discarded for Mental Mediumship, which most of us practice now in the 21st Century. In Lily Dale, New York, there will be a four-day symposium where they will be offering demonstrations and classes in physical mediumship. Here’s more information. https://www.lilydaleassembly.org/event-details/physical-mediumship-in-victorian-times-hosted-by-dr-sue-barnes.

After Winter’s guidance and directions for the séance, since we were on Zoom and not sitting together in a Live setting, we listened to a beautiful piece of uplifting music to raise the vibrations of welcoming in spirit. Usually, Winter explained, we would sing together. I had previously signed up as a volunteer in our collective at spirit school, posted by Danielle, and I was the first to take my turn.

I was told to begin and go deeper into a trance state. Winter kept the energy light as I closed my eyes, rocked, and breathed gently. Some conversation with the group was exchanged during my breathwork as I visualized connecting my chakras, specifically, my heart chakra with my crown chakra, but also expanding my energy outwards as I blended with the group and inwards with my divine self at the same time. In my trance state, I was fully feeling my body sitting in my chair and hearing the observations around me, but I was simultaneously somewhere else. At first, there was a change around the energy in my nostrils which moved downwards into my jaw area, making my face appear more masculine. A lot of pixel movement in my throat chakra, and Winter felt that Spirit was working on that area.

Interestingly, one of my intentions for my development as a medium for this year is to speak clearly, to find my voice, and to be articulate in my communications from spirit for healing and for the greatest good. My jaw stretched from side to side, and the movement around my mouth looked like a male. There were eyes over my eyes, and my hairline receded, much like a male. Lastly, my ears elongated and became pointed.

Winter identified that I had an Elvin energy from the elementals. While all of this was being observed externally, which I could hear, I also heard him say sweetly; you’re a wiggly one; stop rocking. So, I stopped. I sway because the rocking movement helps me relax and move into a trance state quicker. Kind of like a baby being gently rocked. I had this strange urge to lift my hands because my fingers and hands grew more prominent and longer, but I resisted it. Also, I wanted to laugh out loud; it could have been him. Again, I fought that too. I sat for, I think, 10 minutes, I’m not sure. Winter asked spirit to bring me back to my room slowly, and I heard Winter say, welcome back, Sarah. I opened my eyes and returned utterly. I was very thirsty and luckily came with a glass of water. Three more of us took a turn, and what we observed was magical. I watched my fellow mediums transform in similar ways that I did. Elongated faces, eyes over eyes, long ears, even our clothing being tugged on to change into different shapes. Childlike energy, animal elementals, and aliens joined us that afternoon.

Later that afternoon, I had an enjoyable mellow feeling but a slight sore throat. Whatever spirit was working on was felt later and into the next day. The night after my physical mediumship, I didn’t sleep well, but between consciousness and the alternative sleep state or astral projection, my bedroom became a forest, and my walls were covered in trees, roots, and ferns. I live in the desert, which is dry here but with the vision came a sweet dewy essence and temperate rainforest feel. The next morning, two days after trying physical mediumship, my sore throat was gone, and my energy level returned to my usual.

I recognize him. In the past, he has shown up during my astral travels. He supports me by showing me that I can persevere through my struggles and that I am resilient, strong, rooted, and grounded, but he’s a bit of a trickster. He would show up feisty, wanting to wrestle with me, once twisting my arms, which brought out my fierceness, and I started doing the same thing to him. I was winning the match and got pretty upset. He began to cry, which made me stop, and then he led me to a choir of angelic-looking children, and I felt so much love and realized there was a purpose to his message. He was validating for me their presence in my life. I recognized their harmonious voices from some drumming experiences; I often hear angelic or childlike choir within my drumming meditations in sound but have never seen them clairvoyantly. Maybe an Elvin? Elvin is a masculine name of Old English and Old German origin. Translating to “elf or magical being,” coming from the name Ethelwine, it also translates to “noble friend.” I hope to blend with my noble friend again someday in Dreamtime, meditations, and possibly physical mediumship.

Yours,

Sarah Delanty

I see some exciting phenomena when I look at this snap I took before we started. Sparkles, waves that look like a swipe or comb. Do you? Eyeball in my phone. Swirls of energy. A face with pointy ears over my left shoulder, behind me.
