Another Reflection Around Energy

On my way home to Redmond, Oregon, I had a chatty and proud owner of a Tesla Uber driver in Seattle during my layover from the Sacred Spirit Retreat in Vancouver, BC. I said I used to work for a photography studio based in Seattle. He asked me, what do you do for a living now? Feeling energized and confident after the retreat, I told him I’m a psychic medium. He seemed a bit confused about what that meant but did mention that he saw a show about a taxi driver in L.A. that was a medium. But added, I don't think it was real. He seemed curious and open-minded, and to keep it simple, I explained that I connect with souls no longer on our side, and yeah, I agreed with him that some shows are severely edited at the very least. Mediumship is often very subtle, and we sometimes get it wrong! Before the conversation became more profound, we passed the restaurant. I got dropped off a few doors down, where I met my daughter for dinner in Capitol Hill. A fabulous and homey Japanese place called Rondo if you ever visit the Seattle area! I was there earlier than I thought, but they seated me anyway—the end of happy hour. My daughter Ava was on her way from her apartment in the U District via the Tram.
While picking out my sake, the fire alarm suddenly went off from the upstairs apartment building; an alarm was located right above our table in the corner. It was an old building like most are on Capitol Hill. I was thinking, what the? Everyone else was sitting in the restaurant with similar expressions. The kitchen staff continued to work in the cacophony of banging pans and crushing water spray sounds emanating from the kitchen, diners pushing their seats back to leave, scraping the feet of the vintage chairs along the wood floors, along with pulsating, piercing sounds from the alarms. Think beehive x 1,000. The next thing that happened was that we all had to be evacuated. I couldn’t help but wonder if my energy was up and someone in spirit was showing off. No fire. The food was so good that we patiently waited outside until we could return to our seats. When my daughter arrived and saw the crowd in front of the restaurant’s door, she wondered what was happening. She laughed because it was unusual; it had never occurred while dining there. After we were reseated, the waitress explained that the alarm does go off randomly from time to time from the apartment building located above the restaurant. Ava mentioned she was considering checking out an apartment to move into in the same building this summer. I advised her not to unless she likes random fire drills! I'm still wondering about the energy around this!
